Greenshoots - provide social and practical skills for independent living
The adults attending our service have learning or physical disability or are recovering from poor mental health. We provide social and practical skills for independent living and training, education and work experience to assist adults working towards supported or open employment.
At Greenshoots we provide a variety of work realistic nursery tasks including:
- Identification of groups of plants
- Propagation and cultivation
- Ground preparation & crop rotation
- Pest disease control & irrigation
- Container, vegetable and fruit crops
- Cultivation of the herb garden & bedding plants
