Aga’s Nest, Childminding Services in Wokingham

My name is Agnes and I am your local OFSTED registered childminder in a pet and smoke free house. house.We live in the central Wokingham, walking distance to town center and excellent connection to M329, M4 I. In our home we speak 3 languages, where English is the main one. We have two daughters which are 8 and 13 years old

I am fun loving, kind, polite, caring cheerful mum who enjoys spend time with her child. I am outgoing and enjoy the outdoor life as well as indoor life. On those sunny days we spend flying kites, riding bikes, going for walks, going to the parks, bouncing on the trampoline or even enjoy splashing about in the water. Indoor life we spend being creative with paint, puzzles games, dress-up or even cooking.

I provide quality childcare in a safe and secure environment, where each child is encouraged to develop to their full potential. I work with parents to promote good manners and social skills, helping the children to reach their maximum ability. I provide safe stimulating play which is appropriate to the age and development of the child. Activities such as art, role play, story time and songs are planned daily. I work with parent to promote healthy eating. Encourage and develop language, literacy and communication through play and activities alongside EYFS. I provide a good range of indoors and outdoors toys which will help promote coordination, mobility and social skills.

I strive to be positive model and promote personal and social skills, encourage respect for the environment I lived in. I help the child understand that no child will be discriminated against through religious, social, cultural or physical differences.

I try and make children feel at home. I like to create a home “away from home” environment to help the children settle in. I have a fully enclosed garden with outdoors toys, play house, big sandpit and climber.

I also like to attend library, play groups and parks with other day trips during holidays; to introduce the children to a variety of environments and further their social development.

On my last Ofsted inspection in December 2022 I was grade GOOD, with very positive feedback from the Inspector.

I hold an enhanced CRB Certificate. I am fully insured and I am trained in Paediatric First- Aid, OSCB Specialist Safeguarding, OSCB Generalist Safeguarding, Food and Safety Certificate level2.

In a free time I like to attend training courses to further my knowledge and development as a professional. So far I completed following courses:

• Characteristic of effective learning;
• Two years old progress check for childminders
• Dealing with tantrums;
• Child development, module 1
