Dingley's Promise (Reading) - for under 5's with additional needs
Dingley’s Promise is a place where qualified staff deliver life changing support to under 5’s with additional needs and disabilities by providing specialist Learning Through Play. We also welcome and support children’s families as they often feel isolated because of their child’s additional needs or disabilities. In Dingley’s Promise they have an opportunity to meet other parents/carers who are going through the same or similar experience, who are non-judgemental and they can talk and share their experiences with each other.
Our Wokingham Centre is based in All Saints Primary School on Norreys Avenue. We have a large playroom with dedicated areas and resources to support learning through play. These include a soft play area, messy area, home corner and book corner. The playroom has direct access to an outdoor area, but we can also access the play area directly outside when not in use by the school. This area includes a sensory garden, which the children can explore. Alongside the playroom we have a sensory room, which is accessed throughout the day by small groups of children and 1:1. There is also a dedicated kitchen area for meal times and cooking activities.
