Description
These classes help rehabilitate patients who:
- Have had a heart attack in the past year
- Had a heart operation in the past year
- Have had or currently have heart disease diagnosed in the past year
The classes follow on from phase 3 of the cardiac rehabilitation scheme wich is run by nursing teams in hospital.
They use a mixture of cardiovascular and strength exercises to help in your ongoing rehabilitation
Joining the scheme
You need to be referred to join. This can happen in 2 ways:
- If you've completed phase 3 of the cardiac rehabilitation programme
- If you've been referred by your GP or health professional
To be eligible you must:
- Be over 18
- Live in the Wokingham Borough
- Have a stable cardiac condition or have had a cardiac episode in the last 12 months

- You should wear either trousers, track suit bottoms or loose fitting shorts and soft soled shoes or trainers and a t-shirt
