Rose Buddies, Creative Support.

Following guidance from the Government with regard to the coronavirus (COVID-19), before attending an activity, group, drop in, course or event listed on our directory please contact the organisation who is running the service to ensure it is still taking place.

Rose Buddies Community Support Service is for adults with learning disabilities, who live in Wokingham Borough and receive little or no statutory community care/support services.

We have daily drop-ins, within Wokingham Borough. They are as follows :  

Monday - Earley Crescent Resorce Centre, 3pm - 5pm

Tuesday - Bradbury Centre Cafe, 10am - 12pm

Wednesday - On the first Wedsnesday of the month, we are at The Three Frogs Pub. All other Wednesdays we are at The Sedero Lounge. From 6pm - 8pm.

Thursday - Oakwood Centre, 9:30am - 11:30am

Friday - Wokingham Library, 2pm - 4pm

We provide :

  • Information about what’s going on in the local area
  • Support with filling in forms (e.g. benefits, booking holidays, courses, etc) 
  • Reading letters (e.g. doctor’s letter, bills, etc.) 
  • Social activities, workshops
  • Sign posting and referrals

Date & Time Information

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9:30am - 5:30pm.

Wednesdays 10am - 8pm.

Due to our Community Drop-ins, the above times are not all office based.

Membership is free, but there are some costs to members for our trips out and some of our Workshops.

Through the year, members participate in fundraising and grant applying.

This helps to keep our Allotment, Craft and Cooking sessions and some of our Social activities run at minimal cost to the members.

To access Rose Buddies you must be a member, a resident of Wokingham Borough, have a learning disability, not live in 24 hour supported care and must not be recieving support/care services for the support required.

All our staff are trained in Safeguarding, First Aid, Food Safety, Fire Safety, Medication and Moving and Handling as mandatory requirement. Our Volunteers also complete necessary training for their roles.
