ABC to Read - Assisting Berkshire Children to read

ABC to read is a local charity which works with schools to help raise literacy standards.  We recruit, train and offer continuing support to volunteers who provide mentoring help to Berkshire primary school children who are struggling with reading and lack confidence. We provide training to school's own army of volunteers and to 6th formers.

We also provide training for parents to:

• Help them support their child to read at home
• Identify the skills a children needs to become successful readers
• Provide practical ideas on how to support a children’s learning in school
