Wokingham Borough libraries

Services for people who can't get to a library

We provide a free home delivery service for books including large print and audio books.

A trained member of staff or volunteer will deliver items to match your reading tastes 3 weeks at an agreed time.

This service is for any resident who can't visit their local library because of ill health, disability or because they are caring for someone.

How to apply

Print and complete a Home Library Service application form (PDF document) and send to the address on the form.

Application forms are also available in all our libraries.

Services for memory loss and dementia groups

We provide 'forget me not' collections containing items from social history from the 40s to the 70s. It has been found that handling the items and discussing them helps trigger memories and facilitates discussions.

Forget me not boxes are available to borrow with a yearly subscription of £35.50. They come in a variety of themes. Read the Forget me not box themes (PDF Document) to find out more.

Reminiscence Service

The Reminiscence collection consists of:

  • Memory joggers
  • DVDs
  • Specialised puzzles and quizzes
