Cardiac Rehab Phase IV
These classes help rehabilitate patients who:
- Have had a heart attack in the past year
- Had a heart operation in the past year
- Have had or currently have heart disease diagnosed in the past year
The classes follow on from phase 3 of the cardiac rehabilitation scheme which is run by nursing teams in hospital.
They use a mixture of cardiovascular and strength exercises to help in your ongoing rehabilitation.
A number of classes are held throughout the workday week by Cardiac Phase 4 Instructors within the Wokingham Borough.
Joining the Cardiac Rehab Phase 4 scheme
You need to be referred to join. This can happen in 2 ways:
- Upon completion of your phase 3 of the cardiac rehabilitation programme
- Direct referral from your GP
To be eligible you must:
- Be a minimum age of 18 years
- Reside in Wokingham Borough
- Have a stable cardiac condition or have had a cardiac episode in the last 12 months
About the class
- You should wear either trousers, track suit bottoms or loose fitting shorts and soft soled shoes or trainers and a t-shirt
