Accessibility

There are a number of organisations that can assist with financial support if you need aids and adaptations to help with access:

  • Motability schemeAssistance with hiring a car and putting in any adaptations you may need. Scooters are also available for hire via this scheme
  • Access to work- Access to Work will fund necessary aids and adaptations if you are disabled and need help with making your workplace accessible. They will also help with aids or equipment to help you get to the workplace or to carry out specific tasks
  • Wheelchair clinic- If you need a wheelchair to move about, the Wheelchair Clinic may be able to offer you a payment towards a new wheelchair
  • A list of local and national charities that offer small grants and help with buying aids and equipment is available in our directory
