Every parent or carer wants to know how to do what is best for their child and give them the best start in life.
Berkshire Child Health App
The NHS Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Group have commissioned a Berkshire Child Health app, available on Apple and Android. The app gives tips on how to manage common ailments, such as coughs, sore throats and teething and advice on when and where to seek help from a healthcare professional.
A version of the app can be download as a booklet.
Child's development
Visit the Berkshire NHS Healthcare Children, Young people and Families (CYPF) service website for information and advice on children's development, health and wellbeing and services provided by CYPF.
The Berkshire School Aged Immunisation Team
Our school-based immunisation programme includes:
- National Flu programme
- Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)
- Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio booster (Td/IPV) and Meningitis ACWY booster injections
- MMR targeted catch up programme
These programmes are mainly delivered in schools but may be delivered in community clinics or homes for children who are unable to access school-based provisions.

School nurse service in Berkshire
School Nursing team in Berkshire Healthcare is here to support the health and well being of school-aged children and young people who attend state-maintained schools, free schools and academy schools in Bracknell, Wokingham, Reading and West Berkshire as well as those who are home-educated.

The line is available from 9am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
